Sony Ericsson Has Its Own Channel in Market [Update: Video]

Sony Ericsson is proud to call itself the very first smartphone manufacturer to have its own channel on the official Google Android Market as of today, when it has been made available. It will hit devices any time now.

The user will see the "My Apps" option from the Android Market missing and instead of it there will be a link to the Sony Ericsson channel. With this channel, the manufacturer is planning to provide recommendations to enhance the Sony Ericsson experience and offer a solution to easily find original apps from the manufacturer.

Additionally, there will be exclusive games and apps offered only on this specific channel in tandem with partner apps and games promotions. Putting it another way, the Sony Ericsson channel on Android Market is very similar to the manufacturer's zone on Windows Phone 7 Marketplace where OEM and device specific apps and deals are filtered, offered and promoted. Let us know of your thoughts if you already have access to it!
