Sony Ericsson’s MWC event is currently live and they’ve just officially announced their Xperia Neo to the masses, so call this an end to all the rumors. A list of official specs are still not available in writing, but from the presentation, we do see Android’s Gingerbread OS, HD video recording, HDMI out support, their famous BRAVIA Mobile engine, an 8 Megapixel camera, and much more.

Update More specs are live. Just as the Xperia Pro, the Neo will also carry a 3.7 inch display sporting an 854 x 480 resolution powered by their Bravia engine. Aside from the 8 Megapixel camera we already mentioned, it’ll also have a 2 megapixel front facing camera for video chats. On a cool note, SE will release the device in silver, red and blue. It’s running on a single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz CPU. Still waiting on details for price and availability, though it looks like you’ll have a choice of blue, red, or silver.
