In what will no doubt be a disappointment to many, the blurry image of a Cyber-shot-branded Android handset from Sony Ericsson which we recently saw is a hoax. It was perpetrated by talented Jamaican photographer Shane Bygrave, who claims on an Esato forum to have manipulated the renders he created (pictured above) so that they appeared (convincingly!) to be spy shots of the “Mr. Blurrycam” variety.

Would Sony Ericsson be wise to pursue such a device? Judging by the reaction it has seen so far, the answer is probably yes — although from what we hear, the Xperia Arc takes quite a nice photo, and is already available for purchase.
