The Retina display is probably one of the coolest features on the iPhone 4 boosting a 960 x 640 resolution, a place where Windows Mobile/Phone could not go due to software limitations.
Looks like Sharp have managed to break the WVGA rule we were getting used to by now with their IS03 Android device displaying 960 x 640 pixels, exactly iPhone 4′s screen resolution. With a 3.5 inch display, again, same as the iPhone, looks like the Retina concept has been matched and upped with Sharp’s Advanced Super View (ASV) technology dramatically improving viewing angles.
Other specs include a 9.6MP camera with Image Stabilization and Auto-Focus, TV Tuner and Osaifu-Keitai (meaning Mobile Wallet – NTT DoCoMo) allowing for payments via mobile device. Even though it’s running Android 2.1 and it is intended for the Japanese market on KDDI au carrier, Global Passport CDMA support means that it might work on some US carriers if imported.
