Just as we were told a couple of days ago by Verizon itself, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is available for pre-orders as of today from the carrier with the page already going live.

If you follow the source link you can pre-order your Sony Ericsson Xperia Play slide-out gaming Android smartphone and, according to the badge, it will ship by May 25 — that’s one day before the smartphone hits the shelves on May 26. Price is $199.99 with a two-year contract or $449.99 without commitment.

The Xperia Play features a 1 GHz Snapdragon CPU with Adreno 205 GPU, a four-inch LCD screen, five-megapixel main camera, and a front-facer for video chat. We hope the shipment will not be stolen like Vodafone New Zealand’s fabricated tragedy!
