Sony Ericsson has tapped comedian Kristen Schaal, as seen on The Daily Show and HBO’s Flight of the Conchords, to star in a series of videos advertising the upcoming Xperia Play. While she touches on some of the more serious uses for Android devices, the main message of the ads is that the Play is the phone to get for frantic, action-filled gaming.
Though more humorous than informative, the ads do touch on some key benefits of the Play, like the ability for you to control a game without your thumbs covering up a third of the screen. Speaking of which, you won’t find any creepy thumb surgery in these clips, though Schaal’s face transposed onto a midget warrior’s body is disconcerting on a whole different level.
Check out Kristen’s hyper-competitive side in the collection of the five videos below, and look for the Xperia Play to arrive hopefully sometime in mid-April.
