The Samsung Vibrant Galaxy S Android Smartphone on T-Mobile has similar hardware to the Samsung Captivateon AT&T, however the Vibrant is much more iPhone-like. You’ve got a shiny chrome rim around the round-corner edges, and even the small slit for a speaker. The back is a lot different though with a cool polka dot pattern and a weird back-chin. I really like the placement of the power button. If you hold the phone with your left hand, you can easily access the power button with your index finger. The flat capacitive touch buttons are very annoying since you can’t feel them with your finger until after you’ve pressed one. There’s no call end button, so if you’ve been on a call for a long time while multi-tasking, you’re going to have to turn the screen on, navigate back to the phone dialer (if you were using a different application while on the call), then find the call end button on the touch screen. In other words, managing phone calls are much more difficult this way. The battery cover is not easy to remove. The slot is too small to wedge a coing in there, and it’s too big to use a knife to snap it off. You’ll have to grow some fingernails if you ever want to swap batteries or upgrade the MicroSD card.
