In our unboxing video of the Samsung Transform, we were only able to briefly see the UI after the initial boot-up. In our next video in the series, we take a closer look at the software that both Sprint and Samsung have implemented on the Transform.
One immediately noticeable characteristic is that Samsung’s Touchwiz UI is completely absent. Instead, Samsung has used a Froyo-like app drawer and homescreen bar. Sprint has also included the Sprint ID option for users to take advantage of. Sprint ID is essentially a profile that the user can choose that is complete with pre-filled widgets, app icons, etc. This means that if you’re new to Android or not looking to customize your device a great deal, Sprint ID will make your transition easy. There are many other pre-made IDs that can be downloaded ranging from fashion to sports.
Like most other Sprint devices, NFL Mobile, Sprint TV and Sprint Navigation are also included. Press play on the video below to see the UI in action!
