First tipped last month by BGR as an entry-level Android bound for AT&T, we actually caught the Samsung Rugby Smart in the wild all the way back in September of last year; at the time, of course, all we knew about the WVGA handset was its SGH-I847 model number. Well full details still haven’t been fleshed out on the device codenamed Sigbin, although bits and pieces — Class 10 HSPA 3G, 1650mAh battery, 512MB RAM, Gingerbread 2.3.5 — are finally starting to emerge.
Rubgy Smart seems to be a little late out of the gate, at least according to that BGR roadmap: its supposed February 18th release date has come and gone with no word from AT&T. If the rumored price of $100 holds, we’re probably looking at a phone that’s destined to be free on contract before long, albeit for a somewhat forgettable piece of hardware.
