Not so long ago we told you about Samsung releasing the official Gingerbread source for the Galaxy S smartphone and it appears that the manufacturer has released yet another, updated source of Android 2.3 named GT-I9000_OpenSource_GB_Update.zip.

Given the name for the last official Gingerbread source was GT-I9000_OpenSource_GB.zip, we can expect some improvements and bugfixes but we’ll definitely know more once ROM Chefs download, tear apart, strip the source down and put together a nice new custom ROM that is tweaked and improved, after extracting all the goodies.
