Yesterday we reported that Samsung had released the Froyo-based source-code of their Galaxy S i9000 to the public — and inferred that the Froyo builds for the U.S. versions of the phone (Vibrant, Captivate, Fascinate, and Epic 4G) may be arriving soon.
Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, Samsung has pulled the aforementioned update from their servers. Did Samsung find a significant bug, or was the move political? We simply don’t know… and Samsung isn’t commenting.
If you wanted the source-code, hopefully someone will post a mirror (since it’s open-source and was released to the public, this should be on the up-and-up). However, you may want to hold off on flashing any ROMs based on this build simply because we don’t know why it was pulled.
