A recent iGR study indicates that Samsung is the preferred brand in the U.S. when it comes to devices powered by Google’s Android operating system. Motorola, HTC and LG are coming next with low-cost phone makers ZTE and Huawei lower down the list. The report also unveils that 47% of those in the U.S. that have a smartphone chose Android with the iPhone coming in second at 24%.
The study shows that from those who chose Android as their platform, 45% actually made their decision based on a research that led them to specifically select an Android device. 27% of Android users made their decision based on the fact that they believed Google was a “reputable company” (and Android has to be the same).
