Samsung made it clear they were fans of the CyanogenMod. They even went to the extent of giving away a free Galaxy S II to each of the developers involved. They definitely saw talent and a future behind all the work the Mod provided to the community, and proof of that is the fact that they’ve just hired none other than the CyanogenMod founder, Steve Kondik.

According to Kondik, his new job is not at all related to his side efforts on the CyanogenMod, but that he will be “working on making Samsung devices more awesome”. Sadly he wasn’t specific on what we may expect from the Mod from here on, but if such a great job can land a developer a job at Samsung, I know a lot of people will be interested in filling his shoes.
