Tomorrow, Samsung is expected to announce the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, their latest Android 3.0 tablet. From these shots we procured from CTIA, you can see that Samsung is rolling out a pretty deep interface on top of Android Honeycomb. It’s comprised of the Live Panel homescreen, complete with custom widgets, plus an interesting app switcher that provides BlackBerry PlayBook-like app switching with live previews of the apps that are open in the background.

This shot also gives us a glimpse into the specs: the 8.9″ display will rock 1280×800 resolution, granting it higher pixel density than the Motorola Xoom, which has the same resolution but on a larger screen. It’ll be very thin at just 8.6mm, and will weight a reasonable 470 grams. The CPU is a dual core 1GHz chip.
