Samsung has so many variations on its mega-popular Galaxy S2, that it can be tricky to keep track of them all; we have the GT-I9100, GT-I9103, and recently heard about the GT-I9101. Today we’re interested in the 9103, which just saw some its FCC paperwork published.

The big change with the 9103 is that it’s supposed to run NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 platform instead of a Samsung Exynos chip. Early benchmarks didn’t really reveal a clear winner, so the decision to go with multiple chipsets is likely due to cost or availability issues, rather than performance.

The 9100 passed the FCC with AT&T-compatible bands all the way back in March. The 9103 shows compatibility with these same WCDMA frequencies, so it doesn’t really help us narrow down where we might see the phone appear; either one could be the Galaxy Attain. There’s also the chance that one of these two could be the Galaxy S2 that’s going to Canada. Any guesses?
