While our attention has since been focused on the release of the iPhone 4S, and later the Galaxy Nexus, it wasn’t that long ago that we were still closely following the US launch details for the Samsung Galaxy S II. While the smartphone hit the major carriers a few months back, it continues to find a home on new networks. The next to add the Galaxy S II to its lineup may just be US Cellular, with signs of the handset appearing in its computer system.

US Cellular may not have a huge selection of Androids, especially when it comes to high-end models, so the Galaxy S II should find a nice space waiting for it. The only direct competition the phone is likely to face from another of the carrier’s Androids is the Motorola Electrify. The Electrify may have a slight edge on the GS2 when it comes to display resolution, but the GS2 has a slightly more capable processor.

In addition to the Galaxy S II, it also appears that US Cellular has plans to begin carrying the the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab; the carrier already has the 7-inch version, along with the Motorola Xoom and HTC Flyer. No pricing details are available yet for either the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or the Galaxy S II.
