This might not be your 3.0GHz Droid but it definitely crushes some Quadrant scores as the Samsung Galaxy S II — the rara avis among the smartphones we rate at 5 out of 5 — has been overclocked to 1.5GHz which is not a huge step from stock 1.2GHz the Samsung Exynos dual-core CPU clocks at.
With the 300MHz boost the Samsung Galaxy S II is capable of reaching scores of over 4,000 in Quadrant. If you somehow tend to not rely on Quadrant screenshots anymore lately, check out the video below of the overclocked CPU in action. Over at the source link you’ll find all the instructions you’ll need to overclock your own Galaxy S II (insert warning here, overclocking stresses components and might damage your hardware). Oh, and Linpack says 59.121.
