The Samsung Galaxy S II was regarded by many as the King of Android phones, undisputed for a long time after its February announcement. After some waiting it finally got to the American market too but Mobile Choice UK has awarded the Galaxy S II the “Phone Of The Year” title.

The HTC Sensation came in second and the iPhone 4 was a strong competitor too but the judges said the Galaxy S II was “Samsung’s best phone ever” which “combines excellent hardware with top-line social networking, email, sat-nav, web browsing and media features”. To top it all, the device also received the Best Camera Phone, Best Video Phone, Best Android Phone and Best Media Phone awards.
