At the end of January, before the MWC, Samsung announced four mid-range Android handsets among which the Samsung Galaxy Gio, to be later available in Russia and gradually other European countries, followed by India and China. There was no word on the North American continent but it appears that the phone is coming to Canada.
Featuring a 3.2-inch HVGA display (480 x 320 pixels) and having Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board, the Samsung Galaxy Gio is expected to be part of Bell Canada’s line-up next month. Also on board is a three-megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI. There’s currently no information on exact availability and pricing but we’ll let you know more as soon as we get closer to that rumored August launch.
