The Samsung Epic 4G had an early bite out of Gingerbread with the occasion of a leaked ROM related to which Sprint quickly came forward and warned users not to apply the DK28 build as it was “not approved software for Sprint production devices”.
PhoneArena has published a screen grab courtesy of one of its tipsters according to which the Samsung Epic 4G will receive a Froyo update on December 26. It refers to the DL11 Froyo update which will start rolling out the second day of Christmas with a target of hitting all devices this year. You should receive a notification over the air once the update is ready for your device and once downloaded, you’ll have all the Froyo goodies on your Epic 4G, including Flash 10.1 and the ability to install apps to the SD Card.
