It’s almost hard to believe that owners of Samsung’s Droid Charge are still waiting for an official Gingerbread update. There have been plenty of leaked Gingerbread ROMs that we’ve seen distributed, but are we any closer to the final build? We can’t say for sure, but as you wait it out, there’s one more new ROM to take for a spin, with the release of leaked Charge build EP4P.
The good news is that everything in EP4P looks to be functioning properly. If we didn’t know any better, we’d take that as a sign that a formal release would be shortly upon us. Thing is, we were already saying that back in July, so we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves again. Final release or not, EP4P sounds like it’s more than capable of being your daily driver, so it might be worth checking out on its own merits.
If you’re not comfortable flashing your phone, we suggest holding off for the official release, but if you’re up for some ROM action, check out the source link below for multiple downloads (including debloated and deodexed versions) and a Froyo ROM for if you change your mind and want to go back.
