Some of the Samsung Galaxy S III rumors were talking about an April announcement, now that we’ve seen it with our own eyes that there was no Galaxy S II follow-up at the Mobile World Congress. Even a marketing agency claimed that there will be something to look for next month but it looks like Samsung itself disagrees.
According to the tweet below (and a little help from Google Translate), Samsung clearly states that April launch reports concerning the Galaxy S III are not true. Instead, the company will let the world know the official date once it has been set. Until then we are left with rumors and leaks, like the last one of the alleged Galaxy S III popping up in benchmarks with its 720p screen, a la Galaxy Nexus. Is Samsung building up the buzz around the phone or still building the phone itself? However, since the Galaxy S II has been selling like hot cookies, it wouldn’t hurt to sell some more until the follow-up is announced.
