Samsung just announced a new member of its Galaxy Tab line-up of tablets, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). It is Samsung’s first Ice Cream Sandwich-powered tablet and we’ve seen hints of the tablet coming when we looked at the user agent profile for the GT-P3100.

The newcomer will be available in both 3G and WiFi versions starting March from the UK. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) packs a 1GHz dual-core processor, seven-inch WSVGA (600×1024) PLS TFT display, three-megapixel fixed focus main camera with no flash, VGA webcam, 1GB of RAM, 8/16/32GB internal memory flavors (with microSD expansion slot), 4,000mAh battery and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on-board, on top of which Samsung fitted TouchWiz/Samsung L!ve Panel UX.

The tablet measures 193.7 x 122.4 x 10.5 mm and weighs 344gr. Accelerometer, proximity sensor, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0 Host and WiFi b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct are also on-board. Exact pricing is yet unknown.
