Samsung’s Hercules is on its way to Canada as the mouthful “4G Galaxy S II X”. The 4GGS2X will be finding a home at Telus, but for now its ETA is no more specific than “soon”. As if Mobile Syrup wasn’t lucky enough to get its hands on the Samsung Galaxy S Glide, they’ve now posted a new video showing some hands-on interaction with the 4GGS2X.
The 4GGS2X is a slight upgrade from the stock GS2 released earlier this year, and gets some of the upgrades we’re hearing about for the likes of the LTE version of the phone and some more recent carrier-branded models. The phone runs a 1.5GHz dual-core chip and has a big 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus WVGA screen. Its eight-megapixel camera handles 1080p video, and the two-megapixel front-facer should offer better clarity than some some of the lower-res versions we’ve seen on other phones.
According to the video, the phone is very light despite its size, and the leather-like back is pleasing to the touch. The 4GGS2X will arrive running Android 2.3.5, and supports NFC interactions.
