You’re no doubt familiar with web browsers (Browser, Opera, Fennec, Dolphin, Skyfire, etc.), but all those do is surf the web. They can only display what other people are serving up. But you, you’re creative. You want people to surf your content, but rather than buying your own hosting package (much like pocketnow does), you want to be able to do it from the convenience of your Android phone.
PAW Server is a Web Server for Android-powered devices that does just that! It’s still in beta, but it works the way you’d expect over WiFi. Being able to serve web pages over 3G/4G is carrier dependent due to the way carriers may have structured their networks.
Why would anyone want to do this? Simply put: because you can.
PAW Server is free from AppBrain (an alternative to the Android Market).
