If you’re anything like us, you tore through the few available chapters of Angry Birds Space within a couple days of its release (if not hours), and may already be itching for a new challenge from Rovio. Before Space even showed-up, though, Rovio had started delivering some new levels to a couple of the older editions from the series. Problem was, unless you were an iOS user, you didn’t have access to them. The good news is that they’re finally starting to make their way to other platforms, with Android getting fifteen new levels for Angry Birds today.
Back in late March, right before Space was about to drop, we learned about updates for both the original Angry Birds and Angry Birds Rio. The original saw itself adding fifteen new beach-themed “Surf & Turf” boards for you to start clearing of pigs. With today’s release of Angry Birds 2.1.0, those levels are now accessible to Android users.
What’s odd is that there’s still no sign of that iOS Rio update coming to Android. It will get here when it gets here, we suppose, but considering that it came to iOS at same time as this other update, it’s odd not to see them make the leap to Android at around the same time; perhaps we’ll see those new Rio additions pop up on Android sometime in the next several days.
