The Samsung Galaxy S has just gotten slightly closer to its goal of world domination, with Canadian carrier Rogers Wireless now offering the ubiquitous handset for pre-order. Perhaps as an homage to its AT&T heritage, Rogers will carry the Captivate flavor of the S, whose body style differs most from the unbranded version (compared to the Vibrant and Fascinate, but obviously not the QWERTY-endowed Epic 4G).
Rogers is offering up the 1GHz Hummingbird-powered Android 2.1 device for $150 on three-year contract, although that deal also includes a Samsung WEP570 Bluetooth headset, with a reported MSRP of $90. Even better, pre-orderers are entered into a raffle whose grand prize includes a ton of Samsung audio/video gear. With the pre-order period expiring October 16th, we’re going to assume that actual units will start shipping soon afterwards.
