South Korean smartphone manufacturer Pantech has just released a new device called Pantech Sky Vega Xpress which is advertised to feature Vega X DDR2 RAM memory chips that should be 1.5 times faster than other alternatives on the market, aiming towards PC-like speeds.
The handset with model numbers IM-A710K / IM-A720L is running Google Android 2.2 Froyo mobile operating system and sports a second generation Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running at 1GHz (MSM8255) just like the one to be found on the T-Mobile myTouch 4G. There’s also a 4-inch TFT WVGA screen, DDR2 RAM memory of (yet) unspecified capacity, 8GB of Internal Storage, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, microSD card slot plus the usual Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS (the images also show a front facing camera for video calls) all powered by a 1,500mAh battery. There’s no word yet on pricing for the 120gr phone but we’ll bring you more info as soon as we get it.
