It’s just a matter of hours left before Samsung and Google’s event to announce Android Ice Cream Sandwich and reveal the Galaxy Nexus, but it’s never too late for another leak. We saw some specs for the Galaxy Nexus earlier today, along with some new pictures of the smartphone. A new such image has just been discovered, revealing the phone’s rear in detail for the first time.
The image comes to us courtesy of no one else than Samsung itself. While the webpage for the Galaxy Nexus may not yet be live, it’s already showing up in search results, along with a nice thumbnail of the handset. It’s not much, but it helps to complete our picture of the phone. It’s interesting to note that the shading around the camera component appears to suggest it’s raised above the phone’s backplate, but a side view of the Nexus shows no such raised region. All the more reason to wait until we can see some nice, all-around video of the phone, hopefully in just a few more hours.
Update: Oh, how the leaks keep coming! A lengthy video just made it to YouTube showing a full hands-on experience with the Galaxy Nexus – no camera bump visible.
Update Two: Well, that didn’t last. Don’t worry, the official event is sooner than ever.
