We know thanks to an HTC rep that answered a customer’s email that the HTC EVO 4G will get its Android 2.3 Gingerbread update in the second quarter, alongside the HTC Thunderbolt.

It just so happens that what appears to be an official Android 2.3 Gingerbread ROM for the HTC EVO 4G has been leaked and is ready to download. It appears to be version 2.3.3 of the platform with several improvements besides the Gingerbread upgrade. As usually with leaked ROMs, we advise you to stay away from them as they might be early builds or test ROMs, but if you are really itching, you can find it at the source link.
