Looks like another piece of the puzzle falls in place right after Gingerbread man was installed at Google’s, as we get a first, clear indication of the upcoming OS’ availability.
Open Handset Alliance’s official – Alvaro Fuentes Vasquez – tweeted something which translates to the following: “Prepare your Nexus One (Developer version) for Android OTA update 2.3 (Gingerbread) for the next few days:-D”. If this is about the dev-phone available from Google, lots of users will be hit with Android 2.3 Gingerbread update over-the-air in the next couple of days, maybe even this week, and then the fun will start with all the videos, screenshots and pictures. Until we see something, it’s still a question mark above the statement but one thing’s sure: Gingerbread for the masses is not that far away!
