Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs have been leaking for the Droid RAZR for months now, and ever since March we’ve seen a real uptick in rumors about soak tests and possible scheduling for the official update to finally arrive. It’s not here quite yet, but a newly-leaked ROM may just represent the final update, as it will go out OTA.
Earlier this week, a Verizon doc surfaced which showed the carrier’s expectations for the distribution of ICS updates to a couple phones. For the RAZR and the RAZR Maxx, the document indicates Verizon’s already involved with testing the update, and that it could start going out to RAZR owners on May 21.
That document also notes that the update should weigh-in at 341MB. It’s not a perfect match but at 343MB, the leak that we’re checking out today sure seems like it could have been what Verizon was looking at when preparing that data. Earlier leaks were noticeably larger than this version.
We learned about RAZR update 6.12.181 last week, and you’ll need to have that latest build installed if you’re interested in checking out this ICS leak a little early. For instructions and a download, check out the source link below.
