NenaMark Confirms Sony Ericsson MT27i ‘Pepper’ Specs

Two weeks ago we’ve seen real life pictures of the Sony Ericsson MT27i dubbed “Pepper”, a device rumored to be a successor for the Sony Ericsson Xperia neo and neo V. At the time the specs rumored included a 1GHz dual-core processor (believed to be the ST-Ericsson NovaThor U8500), 3.7-inch FWVGA display, and five-megapixel camera with 720p video recording capability.

Thanks to NenaMark’s benchmark database we now have a confirmation of not only the processor but the screen resolution too. The 1GHZ CPU by itself doesn’t bring any confirmation but the GPU, the ARM Mali-400 MP, is the one used in ST Ericsson’s NovaThor U8500 system (as well as in the U5500 and U9500 for that matter). The display resolution is listed as being 854 x 480 and the device used (with mediocre benchmark results) was running Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread.
