For those of you that are Netflix subscribers (and at $8 per month for unlimited streaming these days, it’s hard to say no) and are using Android phones, you can now download the Netflix app from the Android Market, but only if you have a select device. If you don’t have a Nexus One or S, Droid Incredible, T-Mobile G2, or EVO 4G, don’t fret, you can still grab the APK and install to any Android that allows for side-loading. How does the app perform? Besides some performance hiccups and graphics that seem not optimized for WVGA resolutions, the streaming looks quite good over WiFi, and good enough over 3G. You can manage your queue, search for titles, and filter by genre. Streaming begins within seconds, and the quality improves after about five seconds.
