MWC: LG Optimus 3D Max Hands-On (Video)

The LG Optimus 3D was the star of LG’s booth in 2011 at MWC since it was the world’s first glasses-free 3D smartphone which could capture its own three-dimensional content using its back dual-cameras.

LG decided to follow-up on the model even though it didn’t sell as well as some would have expected it to. Many considered 3D on a smartphone more of a gimmick than a need or a feature but, however, one year later, Barcelona meets LG Optimus 3D Max (aka LG Optimus 3D Cube in its home, South Korean market).

It packs the same WVGA glasses-free autostereoscopic display for glasses-free 3D content viewing and the same dual-five megapixel back cameras. Inside there’s a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal storage, NFC with LG Tag+ compatibility, 1,520 mAh battery and Android 2.3 Gingerbread on-board (hopefully upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich).
