We’ve heard about HTC’s upcoming Sense 4.0 (to run on top of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich) on the new “One” line-up since the end of January but it was only now that we managed to take a good look at what the Taiwanese company was preparing.

HTC Sense 4.0 is trying to make Android a little nicer and more intuitive on the HTC One X, HTC One S (and One V, whenever that will be ready) but the phone we tested it on (One S) was a little slow for the needs of Sense 4.0 (maybe because of the slower, dual-core processor, opposed to the quad-core on a variant of the One X).

However, HTC didn’t disappoint: they delivered the next generation of their custom UI, which is already known and preferred among Android enthusiasts. The integration is deep within Contacts, E-mail, Messages, Dialer, Browser and even Settings. The new user interface is colorful, elastic (when you’re scrolling) and brings a couple of new bells and whistles to the table. For a more detailed look, check out our hands-on below!
