Motorola’s preliminary results for the fourth quarter of 2011, published at the beginning of January, were speaking of roughly 5.3 million smartphones shipped. The official numbers just published confirm the estimates as Motorola just reported net revenues of $3.4 billion in the fourth quarter of 2011 (pretty much like the numbers of Q4 2010).
Regarding smartphones and tablets, Motorola shipped 5.3 million phones in the quarter (a total of 18.7 million last year) and approximately 200,000 tablets (and with a total of 1 million for the full year).
As far as financial numbers are concerned, GAAP net loss in Q4 2011 was $80 million, net revenues were $13.1 billion for the full year (up 14% compared to 2010), and $225 million operating Q4 cash flow (with $357 million for the full year).
