In a rare move that should significantly enhance device performance, Motorola has released an update for its European Milestone XT720 that increases the CPU clock speed to its native 720MHz. That’s great news for UK and German XT720 owners, whose devices have been chugging along at a relatively pokey 550MHz out of the box. Besides the speed boost, users will also be treated to DLNA support, whose media sharing capabilities over WiFi are quickly making it the new HDMI-out in terms of must-have entertainment features. Updates should already be rolling out over-the-air, so connect to your WLAN and start downloading.
