Regional carrier Alltel appears poised to launch the Motorola Milestone X, global version of Verizon’s Motorola Droid X — which may itself soon be replaced by the Droid X2 (pronounced X-squared, we’ve heard). Already available on fellow CDMA operator Bluegrass Wireless, the Milestone X brings the same 1GHz processor, 4.3-inch WVGA screen, and eight-megapixel camera as its Droid-branded doppelganger. It will join its linemate, the original Motorola Milestone (a.k.a. the first Motorola Droid), when it rolls out in the six states Alltel still serves. No word yet on a launch date, nor a price point.
