Motorola’s i1 iDEN smartphone on Sprint Nextel was waterproof and shows that rugged can be sleek, but the manufacturer’s next venture with T-Mobile USA may raise the stakes even higher. The device, codenamed Jordan, is said to be completely waterproof to depths of up to 10 meters, which is what most high-end consumer grade waterproof dive cameras are made to achieve. Not much is known about this rugged Android smartphone for T-Mobile other than that Motorola is literally jumping in the water head first with T-Mobile.
