The Motorola Flipside is a touchscreen Android 2.1 device that offers a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. This allows users to take advantage of either the physical keyboard or the 3.1″ capacitive screen, (featuring a resolution of 320×480) to compose messages of any kind. One unique aspect here is the inclusion of a trackpad for navigating through the UI.
The innards of the Flipside are made up of a 720MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, and an equal 512MB of ROM. While the processor may not be the fastest from a hard spec standpoint, the amount of RAM is up to snuff with some of today’s newest devices and surely makes up for it. The somewhat slower processor likely contributes to Motorola’s claim of just over seven hours in regards to talk time battery life.
As an AT&T branded device, it is fully compatible with all of AT&T’s US frequencies, including US 3G. However, you can also take advantage of its WiFi b & g connectivity if you so desire. These details only scratch the surface, press play below to see the Flipside in all of its live action glory!
