An SBF (system boot file) is your best friend! It’s basically your free get of our jail card in case something goes wrong when you try to root or flash your phone. As long as you have access to the bootloader, the SBF (with the proper tools and drivers) will get your device to the factory state.
The Motorola Droid X2 has recently just received its Android 2.3 Gingerbread update with the new version of Blur and other goodies. Thanks to XDA Developers you can now grab the appropriate SBF file for your phone. Grab it and save it in a safe place! We hope you’ll never need it but in case you do, it might save your phone!
