Motorola’s been dropping some extra-thick hints that it intends to reveal the Droid RAZR (aka Spyder, Droid HD) at an event with Verizon in New York City a week from today. We can’t do anything about making that week pass any faster, but in the meantime there are some new pics of the phone for you to check out, including our first look at the handset with Verizon badging.
It’s nice to get a chance to see the RAZR in the flesh again, rather than the rendered image we had from earlier (although there have been some sharp pictures from even farther back in development when we were still calling the handset the Droid HD). You can see some small changes have been made to the phone’s Android buttons, but the exterior looks largely unchanged.
Supposedly, the RAZR in these pics is running at 1.5GHz, but the smartphone as released might be only at 1.2GHz. We haven’t heard any the specific on the chipset being used, or if this change represents different hardware or just under-clocking the component.
