It hasn’t even been two months since we first started seeing signs of a Motorola Droid 4 in development and it’s already looking like the smartphone could be nearly ready to arrive. After showing-up in Verizon’s computers earlier this month, that release started feeling realer than ever, and now we’ve heard the first rumor about just when launch day may be.
According to a leaked Verizon screenshot, the carrier is looking to double-dip with high-end Androids on December 8, supposedly releasing not just the LTE Galaxy Nexus, but the Droid 4 as well.
The Droid 4 may not be packing Ice Cream Sandwich, but if you’re looking for the LTE experience while retaining a hardware keyboard, it should be right up your alley. The handset should arrive running Android 2.3.5, feature a four-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display, and record 1080p video. Exact details on many of the hardware specs are still unknown, but if a December 8 release really is in the cards, you can expect we’ll learn more about them soon.
