As we wait to learn more of the Motorola Droid 4′s retail debut, we continue to see what amounts to the aftershocks of the phone’s delayed release plans. The latest-such to hit is the appearance of Droid 4 accessories at Verizon retail partners.
Already, we’ve seen plenty of the phone in both internal Verizon leaks, as well as in images created for the marketing plan that never came to pass. Last week, the Droid 4 popped-up in a live page on Best Buy’s site, despite the phone not even having received a formal announcement yet. A little more recently, a demo dummy unit intended for display in retail stores was captured on film. Now, accessories are reportedly pouring-in, as confirmed by the release of images showing some Droid 4 cases ready for sale.
While none of these finds, even this latest, tell us anything new about the phone’s eventual release plans, all this apparently ready-to-go Droid 4 material, combined with today’s rumors about the Droid 3 hitting its end-of-life status, sure is making claims we’ve heard of a February launch sound very plausible.
