Where there’s smoke, there’s fire (or a laser light show, at least), and where there are accessories for eagerly-anticipated smartphones, chances are those phones aren’t too far off. There’s been a lot of Motorola Droid 3 information arriving lately, though Verizon has yet to publicize a release date for the model. While the smartphone waits patiently in the wings, its accessories have now started to appear online.
Accessory supplier Qmadix has a snap-on rubberized case for the Droid 3 posted up on its site. The page currently shows the case as “coming soon”, but the images show this is a very real product, one that could be available any day now.
The last rumor we heard about the Droid 3′s release had it potentially set for July 7. While that date hasn’t popped up again to serve as confirmation, the smartphone got a MAP designation from Verizon last week. Put together emerging accessories, its status in Verizon’s system, and the newly-leaked specs, and that rumored release date is starting to look very plausible.
