There recently was a rumor around Verizon and it implied the operator kindly rejecting all Motorola Droid Android 2.3 Gingerbread updates, at least until the manufacturer irons out all the bugs which were affecting the Droid X.
A Droid 3 training document that has been leaked indicates that there might be more to the story than just some bugs. If you take a look at the image above you’ll understand that the Motorola Droid 2 Global Gingerbread update will be available “soon after Droid 3 launch”. We’ll leave it up to you to decide whether this information is indicating Motorola’s progress of fixing bugs or Verizon’s decision to push the Droid 3 by holding back its own Droid 2 Global Gingerbread update.
