Announced for Europe at the beginning of September and expected to hit the US market in Q4 2010, the Motorola DEFY is a device that can take almost any abuse, being water resistant and dust proof, with a display built from scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass. Nothing out of the ordinary specs-wise, just like the European DEFY, it sports 800MHz CPU with 512MB RAM, has a 3.7 inch WVGA display, runs Android 2.1 with Motoblur and can take pictures with a 5MP camera with flash.
The device is now live on T-Mobile’s website – after being confirmed for T-Mobile on Oprah – with a Coming soon status, leading us in believing in will be here soon, in time for the holiday shopping season. Will you be buying a DEFY? Is the ability to resist abuse more important to you than the specs? And most of all, are you a “smartphone” abuser?
