Just as the rumor mill suggested, T-Mobile has officially slotted the Motorola Charm into its Android lineup, for $75 on contract (minus the usual $75 mail-in rebate; the phone retails for $270.00). Small enough that it could function as an actual cellphone charm on such monolithic handsets as the HD2, EVO 4G, and Droid X, the Charm is a candybar-style device with 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, backside navigation pad a la the company’s Backflip, and Android 2.1 skinned with MOTOBLUR.
Other useful features on this quad-band GSM / dual-band UMTS unit include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a three-megapixel camera. Available in either Golden Bronze or Cabernet hues, the Charm brings T-Mobile’s current stable of Android phones to eight, including both the CLIQ and CLIQ XT from Moto.
