Over the weekend, we got the chance to see some new pics of the Sony Ericsson (for now, at least, this model looks to be keeping the “Ericsson”) Xperia Arc HD, once known as the Nozomi. After seeing some renders of the phone, it was great to finally get a chance to see how the flesh-and-blood version was coming along. Today we look at a couple more pics of the handset, showing off the phone’s HD screen.
The Xperia Arc HD is supposed to feature a 4.3-inch screen with an HD 720p resolution. While it’s hard to appreciate that kind of pixel density from these photographs, we expect the Arc HD’s display to look quite impressive in person. Combined with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and we’re looking at some very Galaxy Nexus-class specs here.
We had heard that the Arc HD would arrive running Ice Cream Sandwich; that may still be the case, considering the phone is likely still some months off, but here we can see it on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. Even if the phone slips out of the gate without ICS, it’s almost assured to receive it as an update early-on into its life.
